Cabopino Golf Club is perched above the delightful Costa Del Sol shoreline, just minutes from the lively heart of Marbella. This is holiday golf at its most enjoyable; while the golfing paradise that is the Malaga coastline presents some celebrated championship courses, Cabopino is a relaxing and enjoyable layout that can be enjoyed by all.
The course is well known for the quality of its greens, which usually hold up well throughout the summer, while there are some really engaging and enchanting holes. Among those, the short third really stands out; dropping down from the tee to the fairway, the views are supreme.
The Marbella region is rich with golfing options, with something to suit every golf holiday demand. If great views and a relaxing round are appealing, then be sure to include Cabopino in your next golfing escape to the Costa Del Sol.

Opened for play: 2000
Yellow: 5194 metres (5,680 yards), SSS 71
Red: 4640 metres (5,074 yards), SSS 65
Signature Hole: Hole 3, Par 4, 288 metres (315 yards), SI 5
This fantastic par 4 contains a massive 60 metre vertical drop from tee to green. An attractive hole too, and one where the big hitters may fancy themselves to drive the green. However, golfers should be wary of the large bunker on the face of the green, meaning that a 3 wood or iron to lay up would certainly be a safer choice of shot.
Guadalmina’s North Course is not as challenging as the South, and is a great resort course for the average player. The fairways are relatively forgiving, allowing golfers to hit the driver from most tees. The most notable feature is the Guadalmina River, which winds its way through the course.

Hole 11 (South Course), 158 metres (173 yards), SI 14
One of the prettiest holes in Southern Spain, the South’ signature hole hugs the Mediterranean coastline on the beachfront. There is a large bunker covering the face of the green, but if you are able to overcome this you are greeted with more stunning views
The tourist friendly, challenging and stunning course commands an enviable mountain setting and magnificent views over Andalusian hills and the Mediterranean. Located in Benahavís, only 5 km. from San Pedro de Alcántara and near beautiful Ronda, on the Ronda road.
Los Arqueros Golf & Country Club was designed by Seve Ballesteros, Par 71 18 holes golf course.

Blue: 5150 metres (5,632 yards), SSS 68.9

Orange: 4,321 metres (4,726 yards)
Signature Hole: Hole 13, Par 5, 458 metres (501 yards), SI 6
Los Arqueros’ 13th deserves its status as signature hole not just for the challenge that it presents, but also for its magnificent scenery of ‘Mare Nostrum’. On clear days, it is even possible to see the coast of Africa and the Atlas Mountain Range. The golf is nothing short of spectacular either, and from an elevated tee the fairway starts off narrow, before it veers off to the right. It is possible to attempt a ‘Seve’ in cutting the corner and going for the green in two. However, this is a dangerous approach and anything to the right of the green will result in a lost ball, while anything short will be swallowed up by the greenside bunker. A fade would suit this approach well, as the left side of the green is guarded by an uphill slope. A stunning golf hole, offering much in the way of risk-reward.
Situated conveniently between Estepona and Marbella, slightly inland from the Andalucian coastline, Sol Marbella Estepona resort has two genuine championship courses, both of which are consistently maintained to a very high standard.
Designed in 1968 by Bernhard von Limburger, a German golf designer and historian, the Old Course is a tough par-72 layout. The fairways are relatively forgiving, and the greens are large and undulating, but trouble awaits those who stray far off line. The 6,714-yard Old Course is a classic resort layout with Bermuda grass underfoot, where mastering the elevated putting surfaces is the key to success.

Tramores Golf Club is nestled in a beautiful landscape between two valleys with stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea. The third course of the Villa Padierna Golf Resort, it is home to the Villa Padierna “Michael Campbell” Golf Academy where members can learn from experts. Tramores is a fast course and very technical yet very entertaining, ready to be enjoyed. This is a great opportunity to improve short game in less time than in a traditional golf course.

Par: 65, White: 3,486 m. Professional tee: 3.486 m.
This impressive course was designed by the famous Cabell Robinson, (Finca Cortesin, La Cala, La Reserva and many more) and enjoys a quite superb location between the Mediterranean Sea and the mountains.
The course is around 6,900 yards off the yellow tees and was designed with European Tour events in mind, but it can be enjoyed by players of all levels thanks to five different tee positions. The greens are generous with many putting surfaces featuring gentle but long slopes and large number of flag positions, designed to provide each hole with a variety of flag positions.
The fairways are generous and forgiving and the greens have gentle long slopes and offer a large number of flag positions, designed so that each hole on the course can made easier or more difficult depending on how the course is set up on the day.
The clubhouse sits high on the hillside and enjoys panoramic vistas over the course. It offers a wide range of delicious dishes inspired by the best cuisine from the Costa del Sol region and complemented by a substantial wine list.
There is a well stocked pro shop with the resort offering lots of other facilities such as pools, tennis courts, gymnasium, Spa, 11-a-side and 7-a-side football fields, shops and restaurants. To make you feel at home and help you relax after a tiring day of golf, the Clubhouse contains the full range of facilities. In the foothills of the Sierra Bermeja lies the San Roque Club, whose two outstanding championship golf courses are the reason behind its continued position within the elite of Andalucian golfing resorts.
In 2003 the San Roque Club welcomed its second championship layout, following design and construction work by the esteemed American architect, Perry Dye. The New Course measures a colossal 7,246 yards from the tips, and although it differs greatly in style to the Old, it presents an equally formidable challenge.
With unparalleled views over the Guadalquiton River and the amazing azure of the Mediterranean, the New is an unforgettable experience, and was recently rewarded with the 2006 Spanish Open. More than 100 strategically positioned bunkers guard the impeccable fairways and greens, and while the cork tree-lined targets are more forgiving than the Old, visiting golfers will require sound strategy and course management to score well.
With an internationally renowned golf academy and two of the region’s finest championship course, visiting the San Roque Club is an essential component of any good golfing holiday in Southern Spain.
Alcaidesa Links has established a reputation as one of Andalucia’s premier golf courses, and is located extremely close to the revered layouts at Valderrama, San Roque, Sotogrande, La Reserva and many more. With this grouping of terrific courses, the local area makes for a golf holiday of outstanding quality. Alcaidesa benefits from an amazing location right on the Mediterranean shores, affording spectacular views down the coastline towards the Rock of Gibraltar.
The Links is an 18 holes par 72 golf course that has a distinct seaside accent, which is understandable given that it was designed by the British duo of Peter Alliss and Clive Clark, and even features gorse bushes and heather. Imagine the joy of playing a Scottish-style links course, but instead of driving rain and wind you can be bathed in the Andalucian sunshine! Recent development work has improved the overall quality of the Alcaidesa Links, making it even more of a highlight of any golfing tour to the San Roque area.
The course has been awarded amongst the 20 best links courses on the European continent by Golf World magazine (2011)
Previously hosted: PGA Tours of Andalusia (1993, 1994), PGA Tour of Spain (1995), The Ryder Cup Junior Match (1997).

The 5th hole on the links is a memorable one, providing the golfer with breathtaking views over the Mediterranean to Gibraltar, and stretching even as far as Morocco.
